Freelancers are receiving decisions on their established tax obligations for 2021

The Tax Administration of the Republic of Serbia has determined the tax liability of natural persons - freelancers who in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2021, generated income based on the agreed remuneration from copyright and related rights and the agreed remuneration for work performed, on which tax is paid through self-assessment.
The decisions will be delivered to taxpayers by mail in the coming days.
The determined obligations are to be paid in 120 equal monthly amounts, with the first amount due for payment on the 15th of the following month following the month in which the tax authority's decision was issued. Taxpayers are obliged to pay the first installment of the determined obligations no later than August 17, 2026. The obligations were determined based on data from commercial banks on the income of individuals.
